Just a reminder to set your DVRs to record “Countdown to UFC 144″, which airs tonight at 9p.m. ET/6p.m. PT on Fuel TV to promote this weekend’s landmark pay-per-view event.
The show is set to run for one hour in front of a new “UFC Tonight” and will take an in-depth look at the pre-fight routines and preparations of the fighters riding the top of the lineup.
With UFC 144, the promotion will be bringing their traveling roadshow to The Land of the Rising Sun for the first time since 2000, with an intriguing lightweight title fight headlining the event. In addition to stacking the card with Japanese talent, the UFC has included a couple of staples from the heyday of the Pride Fighting Championships, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Mark Hunt, to pique fans’ interests.
UFC 144: Edgar vs. Henderson is set to take place on Saturday, February 25 (Sunday, February 26 in Japan) from the Saitama Super Arena — the former site of Pride FC — in Saitama, Japan and will see UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar put his title on the line against the surging Ben Henderson.
