Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader Co-Headlines UFC 119
UFC News – MMA And UFC News From Syndicated Sources
Rising light heavyweights Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Ryan Bader have agreed to meet in the co-main event of UFC 119 on September 25 in Indianapolis, according to MMA Weekly.
Nogueira (19-3) knocked out Luiz Cane in the opening round of his UFC debut in November, then scored a controversial split decision over late-replacement Jason Brilz at UFC 114 in May for his seventh-straight win. “Minotouro” was previously rumored to face former 205-pound champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 119, but the matchup never materialized.
After winning The Ultimate Fighter 8 over Vinny Magalhaes, Bader (11-0) earned back-to-back wins over Carmelo Marrero and Eric Schafer before improving to 11-0 with a third-round knockout of Keith Jardine at February’s UFC 110.
UFC 119 has yet to be announced and still needs a main event, but the UFC 119 fight card also includes Chris Lytle, Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham, Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens, and Joey Beltran vs. Matt Mitrione.
