David LoiseauMiddleweight David Loiseau has become the latest Canadian fighter to step in as a late-replacement for UFC 113, as “The Crow” will reportedly replace Nick Catone and face John Salter on the preliminary card of the May 8 pay-per-view event at the Bell Centre in Montreal, according to Sportsnet.

Joe Doerksen recently agreed to replace Tim Credeur and meet Tom Lawlor on the UFC 113 prelims, while Tim Hague has stepped in for Chad Corvin and will face Joey Beltran on the May 8 undercard.

Loiseau (19-9) returned to the UFC for the first time in more than two-and-a-half years when he faced Ed Herman last April in Montreal, but dropped a unanimous decision and was promptly released. Despite a 4-5 UFC record, Loiseau returns after rebounding with a first-round TKO victory in February.

Salter (4-1) suffered his first career loss in his UFC debut in January, suffering a third-round TKO to Gerald Harris.

UFC 113 is headlined by a rematch between light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida and challenger Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and also features a matchup between welterweight contenders Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley.
