Jason MacDonald Meets John Salter at UFC 113 on May 8 in Montreal

Jason MacDonaldAfter going 3-1 outside the Octagon since being released by the UFC last year, middleweight Jason MacDonald is set to return at UFC 113, as he’ll replace fellow Canadian David Loiseau against John Salter at the May 8 event in Montreal, according to MMAjunkie.

MacDonald (24-13) was cut by the UFC after suffering back-to-back losses to Wilson Gouveia and Nate Quarry, then dropped a unanimous decision to fellow UFC castoff Travis Lutter, but has bounced back with three-straight wins over Solomon Hutcherson, Vernon White, and Matt Horwich.

Salter (4-1) suffered a third-round TKO to Gerald Harris in his UFC debut in January for his first career loss.

Loiseau, who had replaced an injured Nick Catone last week, was forced off UFC 113 earlier today after reportedly being denied a license by the Quebec Athletic Commission.
