John Howard vs. Jake Ellenberger Set for UFC on Versus 2 on August 1

Welterweights John Howard and Jake Ellenberger are set to square off on August 1 at UFC on Versus 2 in Salt Lake City, according to MMA Diehards.
Howard (14-4) earned “Knockout of the Night” for his first-round KO of Daniel Roberts at the UFC’s Versus debut on March 21, the fourth-straight UFC victory for “Doomsday,” while Ellenberger (22-5) rebounded from a debut loss to Carlos Condit with a second-round TKO of Mike Pyle at January’s UFC 108.
The matchup is the first reported for UFC on Versus 2, and will likely take place on the event’s Versus-televised main card.
