Michael Bisping Likely to Fight Chael Sonnen or Patrick Cote After UFC 120
Michael Bisping is more than two months away from fighting Yoshihiro Akiyama in the main event of UFC 120 on October 16 in London, but the British middleweight is reportedly likely to face recent challenger Chael Sonnen or Patrick Cote in his next fight.
According to Fighters Only, Bisping will likely take on Sonnen if he gets past Akiyama, while Cote is expected to be his next opponent if he loses the UFC 120 headliner.
Bisping (19-3) dropped a decision to Wanderlei Silva in February for his second loss in three bouts following three-straight wins, but rebounded with a unanimous decision over Dan Miller in May.
Sonnen commented on a potential matchup with Bisping on ESPN’s MMA Live on Thursday, saying “If Bisping ever addresses me in public again, I will bury him where he stands.”
