Paul Taylor vs. John Gunderson Off UFC 112
UFC News – MMA And UFC News From Syndicated Sources
A lightweight bout between Paul Taylor and John Gunderson, scheduled for today’s “UFC 112: Invincible” in Abu Dhabi, has been scratched from the event’s preliminary card after Taylor failed to be medically cleared for the contest.
The UFC has announced that Taylor was forced off the card due to “last-minute medical issues,” which multiple reports indicate are complications from his weight cut, including a migraine.
Taylor (10-5-1) was slated to make his lightweight debut after going 3-4 in the UFC welterweight division, earning “Fight of the Night” honors in three of his losses before a November loss to John Hathaway sent him to 155-pounds.
Gunderson (22-7), an IFL veteran, had a three-fight win streak snapped with a unanimous decision loss to Rafaello Oliveira in January in his UFC debut.
