Strikeforce Challengers 10 Includes Riggs vs. Taylor, Women’s Tournament

Veteran Joe Riggs will face Louis Taylor in a 182-pound catchweight bout in his native Phoenix, Arizona at Strikeforce Challengers 10 on August 13, while the card will also feature a one-night, four-woman 135-pound tournament, Strikeforce has announced.

While the tournament participants have yet to be officially announced, Fighter Girls reports that they will be Marloes Coenen, Hitomi Akano, Carina Damm, and Maiju Kujala.

The winner of the tourney is expected to challenge for the title against the winner of a July 23 matchup between 135-pound champ Sarah Kaufman and Roxanne Modaferri.

Strikeforce Challengers 10 is also expected to feature undefeated heavyweight and two-time Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier.
